As parents, we all want to give our children the best start in life. One way to do this is by introducing them to the world of books and the arts.

It's no secret that listening is one of the most important skills a child can learn. What if there was a way to make listening more fun and engaging?

What is Creative Storytelling?

Creative Storytelling is a unique approach to developing listening skills in children by combining literature with art. It's a fun way to encourage children to use their imagination and create illustrations of the stories they hear or read.

SMC's Creative Storytelling class is designed to expand children's vivid imagination and strengthen their lifelong love for books. Our instructors capture toddlers' attention through storytelling, facial expressions, sound effects in a dynamic and vibrant environment. Besides introducing the main idea of the story to the toddlers, we interact with them by asking questions, and we might even change the storyline or invent new characters!

Engaging in storytelling also makes children love literature. Children who get exposed to books from an early age are more likely to develop love and a greater appreciation of literature as they grow.
