This class is to encourage those who have the desire to improve their artistic abilities. Students will learn about the foundational elements that are crucial in creating a good picture. We will work in charcoal first, creating studies that examine line, shapes and values. This is a class where the goal is to learn how to see in order to create the painting in mind. Students will learn about brushes, paint, mediums, and canvases as well as mixing colors.
