Meet Arpine AZATYAN: Violin instructor at Winchester Stage Music Center

Arpine Azatyan, Violin teacher at Winchester Stage Music Center.

Arpine Azatyan is a laureate of several national and international competitions and festivals. She won her first national competition at the age of 14. Originally from Armenia, Arpine received her Bachelor’s Degree from Yerevan State Conservatory, class of Prof. Artashes Mkrtchyan. During her years of study in Yerevan, she played several solo recitals and chamber concerts, as well as appeared as a soloist with Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. After graduating from YSC with honors, Arpine continued her education at Music Academy of Basel in Switzerland, in the class of Prof. Adelina Oprean, where she pursued her Master’s Degree. In Switzerland, she performed as a chamber musician with “Chamber Academy Basel”, “Klassikkupel” festival, “I Tempi” ensemble and others. Arpine moved to the US in 2013, where she entered the class of Jesse Mills at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA, and graduated with GPD in 2015. During her time in the US, Arpine has participated in Garth Newel Chamber Music Festival, won the third prize in BCO Young Artists competition, played under direction of such conductors as Leon Botstein and Gustavo Dudamel, appeared in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Sanders theater, Jordan Hall among others. Currently, she is performing and teaching in Boston, MA.
