Meet John Udinsky Jr: Bass and Guitar educator at Winchester Stage Music Center
John Udinsky Jr earned his B.M. in Jazz Guitar Performance from The University of the Arts and leads an active career as both a performer and a teacher. As a freelancer, John’s experiences have included performing heavily in the PA/NJ/NY tri-state area, frequenting venues such as World Café Live, Milkboy, TIME, Arlene's Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall & The Bitter End. He has toured along the east coast performing in over 12 states, has been featured on 4 LPs, 1 EP, 3 singles, has appeared in 2 music videos & has performed in orchestra pits for over 18 musical productions. Today, John resides just outside of Boston, MA and is planning the release of his upcoming debut solo acoustic guitar album entitled "Movin' Along”.
In a lesson with John, a student can expect to get a well rounded education. Not only will they receive training in the essential guitar repertoire & techniques of all styles, but will also receive lessons in musicianship such as theory, transcription & ear training. John also emphasizes the exploration of creative process through the development of skills such as improvisation, arranging & composition.
