Meet Anna Khachatryan: Voice Instructor at Winchester Stage Music Center
Anna Khachatryan is a singer/voice teacher with a bright personality and strong performing background. Having started her musical path as a singer/soloist in a children's choir "Little Singers of Armenia" she got introduced to the world of classical music from a very young age. At the same time, she was attending a local music school where she would sing jazz and contemporary tunes. Her efforts in the choir granted her various concert tours and performances around the world. Among them were recitals and performances in UK, Japan, Sweden, Russia, Georgia, Latvia, etc.
Her solo musical journey started at the age of 11 when she won the First Prize in "Singing Armenia" national music festival. Her great passion for music was not only limited to singing as she explored choral conducting under the mentorship of notable conductor maestro Tigran Hekekyan. With already 3 first prizes in national festivals she also became the First Prizewinner in the contemporary vocals category during the "Renaissance" international music festival. In 2016, she started her own band called "The Steps". The band's active tight performing schedule did not stop Anna from earning her Bachelor's Degree in Arts. Teaching is her passion as she loves sharing ideas and personal experiences with talented people. She considers those interactions to be the key to her success as a singer because according to her many artistic questions find their answers during the teaching process.
